Preparation for School Program

Our Preparation for School program is designed and implemented to ensure every child has a smooth transition to the school environment. Our program provides children with opportunities to shape their evolving knowledge, skills and abilities, facilitating experiences where children can reach their full potential.

Our program, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, is seamlessly integrated into our care setting. It is tailored to meet children’s individual needs, allowing them to progress towards the Learning Outcomes in different yet equally meaningful ways. Our primary focus of the program is school readiness, which refers to a child’s ability to make an easy and successful transition into school. In addition to academic basics, the program strives to strengthen school readiness skills such as self-care, attention and concentration, physical skills, emotional regulation, and language, play and social skills.

Our Educational Leader and Service Mentor oversee our rich, play-based, co-constructed program. The diversity of knowledge, education and experience of our educators forms a rich tapestry of shared ideas that influences the development and implementation of our Preparation for School program.
